About UsHistory: The vision of Lifting Lives Ministries, Inc., developed from the grass roots efforts started and fulfilled by several members of the Hwy. 61 N. Bypass Church of Christ. As the ministries grew, the church could not solely sustain the financial and volunteer resources required to properly assist those in need. Thus, LLM was created as an independent charity. Lifting Lives Ministries, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which was founded June 1, 2012, and seeks to partner with individuals, businesses, non-profits, and churches to lift the lives of homeless families and at-need elderly of the Vicksburg-Warren and surrounding community. Program Vision: Our original long-term goals were to feed, counsel, and educate troubled youth, discouraged elderly, and families of despair to lift their lives into permanent enthusiasm and empowerment, enabling them to be productive participants of society. These goals have been realized through [1] the Lifting Lives Food Pantry, which assists families and shut-in elderly with food; [2] the Lifting Lives Family Shelter, a full-time transitional shelter allowing the whole family to remain together; and [3] TheWarehouse Thrift Store, which in the words of one family, "...has nice clothes and things I need at a price I can pay..." Board of Directors & Exec. Director: Lifting Lives Ministries, Inc., is governed by a volunteer board of directors who is active and proudly serve homeless families with the Executive Director.
